Further Analysis
The Eid al – Adha ritual is important not just because it marks the end of the spiritual state of the pilgrims, but also because of its ability to bring them together and connect them with other Muslims around the world who join in the celebration.
Islamic bathhouses like Cemberlitas focus on the rituals of the bathhouse and its religious connotations of cleanliness in Islam, but modern bathhouses get their inspiration from roman bathhouses focusing on the sensory aspects and the spiritual spatial experience of the bathers. Future work will incorporate the rituals of both bathhouses, their use of form and materials, and the manipulation of natural light which inform their architectural spaces. The ritualistic performances in the Eid al – Adha festival will also be further explored.
