ACO is a class of optimization which is based on the behavioral patterns of an ant colony. This is useful in some problems that need to find the optimal paths to goals.The Islamic pilgrimage has its own set of rules based on the ritual of the Hajj and the physical terrain of the area, using the ACO a series of routes can be generated to give different outcomes.

The AntSim model is a map from Mecca (nest)  to Mount Arafat (food source) .  The black blocks in between representing the mountainous terrain, the green highlights as the pheromones allowing the ants to find the source of food and the red line, the paths found until an optimal path is found.
