The Site and Brief

​Site
Mina; Turkish, American, European and Australian camp next to Jamaraat bridge. each camp has its own security wall, emergency exit, bathrooms and ablution facilities. The entrances of the camps have separate tents for the guides (Mutawwif), kitchens, waste disposal bins, access to electricity and water. The camps are connected to each other by pathways.

In 2012 the following estimated amount  of pilgrims attended  the pilgrimage ;-

Turks - 85,000
Americans - 11, 000
Australians - 5,000
Europeans - 45, 000
Total  - 146, 000

At the proposed site, the design will cater for 3% of 146,000 pilgrims

Programmes
Bath house used mainly before sunrise at 7am, to perform ablutions and before evening prayers for Ghuls bath at sunset 6.00pm.

Performance space used for dawn prayers and after the bath at sunset for prayers, sermons and to celebrate the festival.
